i have a tricky problem.
When i hide the task bar youtube detects that my monitor is 1080p, but if i don't youtube goes into 720p mode leaving all that empty space on the sides. Now I really don't want to hide the task bar, so is there a way to force youtube to go in to 1080p mode?

try putting your taskbar on the side of the screen
if thats not your angle then try increasing your screen resolution

>try putting your taskbar on the side of the screen
Done and it still doesn't work
>if thats not your angle then try increasing your screen resolution
my monitor is already at 1080p max
you can use extensions like Youtube Center to customize shit like this and control the video's size yourself instead of leaving it to YT's shitty automatic algorithm
>>272564
Youtube center can't do that and there is no other extension that can't do it.
>>272509
use youtube center and paste this into stylish/stylrrr/whatever (replace 400px by desired height)
@-moz-document url-prefix("https://www.youtube.com") {
*{--player-height:400px}
#page.watch .content-alignment {
max-width: 100%!important;
min-width: 0px!important;
width: 100%!important;
}
.flex-width-enabled > * #page, .flex-width-enabled #guide + #content {
max-width: 9999px !important;
min-width: 0px !important;
width: auto !important;
}
#watch7-content {
width: calc(60% - 8px)!important;
margin-left: 10px!important;
}
#watch7-sidebar {
margin-left: calc(60% + 10px)!important;
width: calc(40% - 20px)!important;
}
#player, #placeholder-player {
height: calc(var(--player-height)/2);
}
#player-api {
width: calc(60% - 10px);
height: var(--player-height);
margin-left: 10px!important;
}
#player-playlist .watch-playlist {
width:calc(40% - 22px)!important;
left:calc(60% + 20px)!important;
height: 360px!important;
}
#placeholder-playlist {
height: var(--player-height)!important;
}
.watch-stage-mode .player-width, .watch-stage-mode .player-height {
left: 0px!important;
width: calc(100% - 22px)!important;
}
#watch7-sidebar {
margin-top: calc(var(--player-height) - 2*var(--player-height));
top:-10px;
}
}

>stylish/stylrrr/
I can't find either of them, where is it?
>>272980
stylish and stylrr are extensions themselves, not a directory location, you misunderstood what he meant by "stylish/stylrr/whatever"
>>272962
>>272992
I did all of that and it still doesn't work
>>273051
mozilla format - import
>>273168
>>272962
Now it almost Works, but this happens. Anything else I should change?
>>273257
use this one instead - replace every 400px by desired height
#page.watch .content-alignment {
max-width: 100%!important;
min-width: 0px!important;
width: 100%!important;
}
.flex-width-enabled > * #page, .flex-width-enabled #guide + #content {
max-width: 9999px !important;
min-width: 0px !important;
width: auto !important;
}
#watch7-content {
width: calc(60% - 8px)!important;
margin-left: 10px!important;
}
#watch7-sidebar {
margin-left: calc(60% + 10px)!important;
width: calc(40% - 20px)!important;
}
#player, #placeholder-player {
height: calc(400px/2);
}
#player-api {
width: calc(60% - 10px);
height: 400px;
margin-left: 10px!important;
}
#player-playlist .watch-playlist {
width:calc(40% - 22px)!important;
left:calc(60% + 20px)!important;
height: 400px!important;
}
.watch-wide #player-playlist .watch-playlist {
transform: translateY(calc(400px + 10px));
}
#placeholder-playlist {
height: 400px!important;
}
.watch-stage-mode .player-width, .watch-stage-mode .player-height {
left: 0px!important;
width: calc(100% - 22px)!important;
}
#watch7-sidebar {
margin-top: -400px;
top:-10px;
}
.watch-stage-mode #player-playlist .watch-playlist {
top: 0px;
margin-left: -10px;
}

Finally the player is in 720p, but the length is 1130px instead of 1280px leaving too much space to the suggested video playlist, and so the video itself doesn't take all of the space leaving those 2 black bars at the top and bottom of the player and so it's in 640px.
How do i make the length 1280px taking the space from the suggested video playlist?
>>273318
change the 60% and 40% to 65%/35%, or whatever it fits
>>273297

Everything finally works. Now I can enjoy jewtube in full screen. Thanks to you all based anons.
