Can you tell me some PS2 RPGs where you can change the character

Final Fantasy XII lets you do that, can't think of other ones off the top of my head

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but in Wild Arms 2 and 3 (though 2 was for the PS One) you could change the party's leader and the character sprite you'd see on the map would be that character. The NPCs would say different stuff depending on the character you controlled (for example, in 2 if you entered a bar as an underaged character the owner would tell you to leave)

The first 2 games let you play across 3 MCs who meet up and then you switch between em to solve puzzles and stuff.

In Tales of Symphonia you could switch between controlling each of the characters, each with a different fighting style and tech set. Default guy is a twin swords kid, but I liked to play as Sheena with...magic cards and summoning spells. Presea is cool too. It was orignally released GC, but there's a JP exclusive ps2 port.

Unsure if Tales of Legandia let you switch too, but I'd say probably. Was released on PS2 for all regions.

You sure about all Shadow Hearts? It's been awhile but I don't remember that in the first one. Haven't played the other two though.

OP here, thanks to everyone for all the detailed answers so far. Having played WA2, >>270593 is a good example of what I'm looking for. Even when it doesn't make a difference in battle I think it's cool to be able to change who you control on the field.

I played ToS on Gamecube and it was pretty great. The only other one I've played is Zestiria so I was a bit disappointed that it only let me control Sorey outside of battle, especially since Edna is so cute, but it's a good game otherwise. I'll look into the other ones.

Anyway, thanks again keep 'em coming if you guys can think of any more, though like I said it's specifically PS2 games I'm looking for right now.
