Can someone tell me if my android phone is fucked or not?
Earlier on I went to pornhub in google chrome incognito and clicked on a video. As I clicked on it a pop-up window appears (this is rather usual, I've just clicked them off and they have caused no harm) and then when I switch out of the pornhub tab to close the pop up tab/window via the window menu in google chrome but then a message apparently from the website of the pop up window appears on my phone screen along the lines of "update [thing I cannot remember] or your phone will lock down in one day" there was an "ok" button like you would see on an window popping up when some application is asking permission to use something on your phone, but I just clicked away from the message window and it disappeared and I also clicked off all other windows I had open. I've already ran the free avast virus check, cleaned my chrome cache and slightly dug throughmy phone's downloaded files and found nothing so far. Is my phone in danger of locking down like the message said or if it will, how can I avoid it? pic. Unrelated because I have no screenshot of problem nor proper pic to describe anything other than panic.

OP here. I think it is also worth mentioning that I have not knowingly downloaded anything from google chrome in general.

This. No worries OP. there is also one that's like "your phone is 23 percent infected from viewing adult sites!" in scary red letters And it looks like a decently convincing google window, but it's fake and your phone is actually 0 percent infected.

A lot of the time they'll also tell you what model your phone is. It doesn't mean anything and google wouldn't tell you if you were infected.

Yeah, that is what most likely it was. I just have minimal experience dealing with these kinda pop up things on mobile and I got worried.

I got pretty spooked the first few times too. Especially the one where they say you've been accessing illegal material. But just ignore and close them and try not to click anything
