Hey guys,
Need to replace my stock heat syncs on my server, starting to run pretty hot, and these old fan are loud as fuck. My motherboard doesn't have much room for larger fans, and i have 2 quad cores installed so i will need two of the new heat syncs. What is the best replacement for my heat syncs, close to the size they already are? pic related, my stock heat syncs.
Also, this is my motherboard. Supermicro x7dal-e.
Any suggestions as for replacement heatsyncs?
Im thinking the silverstone AR06 is probably the best replacement out right now for the size and price.

Those mounting holes look funky.
You'll have to find a cooler which supports them.

crruenty I'm using two stock intel d39267-002. they fit next to eachother perfectly so i need two of the same size, just better
You'd be better of with something like pic related, the fans run more slowly and so are quieter.

Here's another clue. Apply yourself.

>there are only really low profile servers
You're bait is shit

Ive looked into the cooler masters I'm pretty sure even they are too larger for my mb to fit side by side:/

Your motherboard is 771; you need a 771 cooler. You can easily put a 775 *processor* in a 771, and vice versa, but that's not the case for coolers.
At the risk of going into excessive technical detail: the holes aren't in the same place.

Any 771 cooler; Intel specified all this so if they follow the spec, they'll fit in the space. Something like an AK-387 would be fine for you, so long as you have Xeon Exxx. Xeon Exxx is <=80W, even though it's quad-core. Xeon Xxxx isn't, and needs a cooler designed for that.
