Hello.
How can I permanently get rid of this dirt line?
I've tried wipes, water, hand sanitizer, and vinegar water but it always comes back.
It may be very small scratches in the screen from when you shut the laptop. Probably impossible to buff out I'm afraid.

I have a keyboard protector on it. I took it off thinking maybe it would stop the never ending dirt line. I've had this laptop for a week.
Small scratches can be removed with toothpaste (especially the teeth wipening one). Just take some and smdge it on their with a paper towel or something, scrape it over the scratch and remove it afterwards. I've alwas used this to "repair" my phone.

Laptops are designed so there's clearance between the keyboard and the screen, not the-keyboard-plus-some-random-crap-the-designer-never-even-saw and the screen.
If you're lucky, you haven't permanently damaged your screen coating.

Use a better (thicker) keyboard protector. I have this problem with my old Dell Inspiron, apparently the whole series is plagued with this problem because of a shiny metallic keyboard frame.

I will get rid of the keyboard protector. It was a cheap one. I don't think I'll get another but thanks anon. I bought a tiny keyboard vacuum to deal with dirt.
So far what I did worked. The line is gone.
