Can anyone recommend good and inexpensive notebooks I can buy in the UK preferably? Not cheap shitty ones where the ink goes through the pages and rips easily.
What like ruled paper notebooks for school or something? Those generally have standard weight paper, you'd have to search at a specialty or art store to get thicker paper that doesn't bleed through.

Yeah, a ruled paper book. I keep notebooks for language learning but these shitty £1 books are god awful. I need something that doesn't bleed through and isn't a lot of money. I'll try check this art store near my university if they only sell them there then.

Check WHSmith or Waterstones
Notebooks are a dime a dozen, doesn't your Uni have a store too?
i used those tall red accountancy books, but they kept falling apart. in the end i made my own out of particle board held together with baling wire.

You're going to have to spend a bit more to get heavier weight paper. Not that much more though, unless you buy a full-on journal with a decorative cover or something.

Rhino's refills are pretty nae-shite.
Pukka's hardcover bound notebooks are the shit. I've used an A6 of theirs for over a decade, and it's put up with heavy use in a commercial kitchen without falling apart. The spirally ones are good too, but the stitched hardcover ones are where it's at.
