DRAM is just DRAM; there's no reason graphics card ram should have a bigger number than computer ram when it's made the same way in the same place by the same people.

Not a whole a lot of a difference just depends on what your gonna be using the GPU for that GPU is a small upgrade compared to upgrading to some thing like a R9 390X
Also depends on your monitor if your monitor is 5ms response time or higher that can be bad on FPS when playing games.
