Hey guys, I've been using a pirated version of windows 7 for a while but I want to go back to ubuntu after a ransomware had me wipe my entire music library. I have the bootable dvd, I burned the files in the ubuntu iso onto it, but the pc just won't boot from it. I've experimented with every order of booting, and I even tried to unplug the hard drive but it gave me error pxe-61 media test failure check media cable. Pls halp.
That's the boot order. I don't know why there's an Ubuntu option labeled just like that. I don't know where it's stored since the dvd drive is the second device. Wat do?
There might be some settings in your UEFI, look for a "legacy boot" option.
Possibly.
There's a boot override option that allows me to select directly the booting device but I choose the dvd drive and it boots Windows.
Free bump.
Also, on the topic of Windows 7, anyone have a clean torrent for Win 7 x64
