Ok, I'm feeling like getting into anime. I hate those big pictures of recommendations though. I'm just going to list what I've seen and liked and then please just tell me what to watch. I'll briefly look up each suggestion and if it seems alright I'll just watch it. I hate making decisions with lots of options so that's a good way to go.
I've liked: Akira, most of the Ghibli stuff I've seen, FLCL, Dead Leaves, Paranoia Agent, and that's pretty much it. Attack on Titan was good but horribly paced and repeated too much.

There's generally a few good anime that everyone should watch and is generally good for newcomers. After you've watched this stuff and anything others recommend you should just go through one of those big recommendation charts.
Cowboy Bebop

Thanks! I've seen a little Cowboy Bebop and Full Metal Alchemist and kind of liked cowboy bebop but full metal alchemist didn't seem so great. I'll check out the other ones but I might jump to Neon Genesis Evangelion because I've heard about it so often. Thanks!
And I'll add more to my list if there are more suggestions. Honestly I just hate choosing, so I'll go through sequentially.

If you liked Paranoia Agent you should watch the rest of Satoshi Kon's stuff. Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika.
If you liked FLCL you should watch Diebuster. You have to watch Gunbuster first though, not that that's a bad thing.

I just finished watching Durarara!! Pretty solid overall. Izaya is a personal favorite character. Would also recommend Gurren Lagann, Welcome to the NHK, 5 Centimeters Per Second, xxxHolic, Chobits, Angel Beats, and Samurai Champloo. Those are some great places to start.
