Don't plan on using them for listening to any music, though. Sound balancing is pretty shit.

Tip #1 for buying gaming headphones: don't

Buy regular, good quality headphones. If you need a mic, get a cheap mic separately. Headphone's with mics usually have shit mics and the headphones themselves are less than stellar, especially for their price.

This. Anything with 'gaming' attached to it or if it has a mic with it is gonna be marked up 25%. Go with ATH-M40x with some ZM-1 Mic .
