Reccomend your favorite few anime from the past 2 years.
Here's the catch:
>From Jan 2014-Present
>Series can't take place in High school
>Series can't be a SAO type, "trapped in an MMO"
Pic related, the most fun i've had in a LONG time watching anime
Plastic Memories if you don't mind a heartbreaker.
No game no life
Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis
Nanatsu no Taizai
Black Bullet
Ajin (if you can stomach the CGI)
Hitsugi no Chaika
Sekai Seifuku: Bouryaku no Zvezda
Kekkai Sensen
Punchline
One Punch Man
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
Log horizon (Traped on a MMO type but its more focused in politics)
Tonari no Seki-kun (I think its placed in middle school, anyway its very funny)
Overlord (Traped on a MMO type but diferent to SAO and log horizon)
Wow that was hard and most of them are average looks like /a/ its right, anime its dying
To the above I'd like to add:
Space Dandy
Garo: Honoo no Kokuin (NOT Guren no Tsuki)
Dimension W
I had to remove two when I belatedly noticed that, technically, they take place in or around a school.
Fuck, I just realised how shit anime has been the last 2 years. I had to go down pretty far in my list, 7/10, to find shows from the last 2 years. OPM and Ping Pong are probably my favourites not counting sequels or high school settings.
If Madoka Magica Rebellion counts then that too. It was first screened in 2013 but the BDs weren't released until 2014.
Gugure! Kokkuri-san is my favorite thing from that time.
I had three others but I realized they were all about high schoolers. Wow.

Ping pong has a high school setting though.
Ninja slayer is kinda similar to Luluco.
Shirobako
Akatsuki No Yona
Rokka No Yuusha
JoJo's Bizzarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable

I wouldn't say it is. The characters are high-schoolers but very few scenes actually take place in HS.
I'll just post a bunch of stuff I've enjoyed recently that meets your requirements.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders (Third part of Jojo. A more episodic approach with less constantly escalating balls-to-the-wall insanity, but still good.)
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable (And this is the fourth part. Currently airing.)
Show by Rock (An attempt by Sanrio (the Hello Kitty company) to do a late-night otaku show, which resulted in a pretty original setting: a music industry in another world where animal-eared people can turn into Sanrio-ish creatures. S2 soon.)
Barakamon (Comfy countryside intergenerational friendship comedy.)
New Game (Cutesy comedy with lots of girls, but with an office setting. Currently airing.)
Boku dake ga inai machi
Shouwa genroku rakugo shinjuu
OPM
Kiseijuu (characters in high school but most of it takes place out of school)
Haikyuu!! and Ping Pong (sports high school anime)
Space Dandy
Hitsugi no Chaika
One punch man
Attack On Titan
Yea I think anime became very oversaturated with the same school setting since being popularized and the whole waifu culture becoming a thing.

>Attack On Titan
That was 2013 m8
>>180983
Hilariously misinformed statement. I bet you think every anime before 2000 was like Cowboy Bebop.
>>180985
Dam senpai, ya right. All apologies.
>>180988
No, but you can't stand there and tell me that high school/ecchi have always been as popular and overdone (which it is VERY overdone) as it is now. Every media has overdone tropes everyone knows about. Anime has school life.
Tf... I put senpai and it came out as senpai
Stardust Crusaders
Diamond is Unbreakable
Hitsugi no Chaika
Non Non Biyori Repeat
I guess I haven't really seen much from the last couple of years.
>>180996
Hahaha, f.am without the period. I put f.am and it came out as senpai. That has never happened to me on 4chan before.
>>180998
Maybe that should be a hint.
