If I want to make a debian liveusb to use for installation, should i download the cd image, the dvd image, or does it even matter?
>>

Download the .iso and use linuxlive usb creator
>>
>>166799
but there is no iso,it says 'cd images' and 'dvd images'. i want to know which of those IS the iso. in all other distros i've used, it just said 'iso images'. I'm bloody confused.
>>
Debian doesn't have a liveusb version
>>

what? you put the iso onto the usb with a creator like rufus and install from there. i just want to know which iso to download and if there is a difference.
>>
im not going to have any net for a week, so i NEED to get this done now. anyone know which i'm supposed to use?
>>
>>166803
1. That's not what a liveusb is.
2. If you have an internet connection, go for the minimal netinstall version

Else, go with either you feel like, there is no difference.

JESUS CHRIST.

Do you want 700MB of packages? Then use the CD image.
Do you want 4,500MB of packages? Then use the DVD image.

Frankly, I'd advise you to use neither, because if this is too complicated for you, Debian will blow your tiny little mind.

Download any of them and shove them on a flash drive.

>but there is no iso
ISO is the (normal) format that is used to store data on CDs and DVDs. All of the disc images are in ISO format.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
