So I'm watching/reading Guyver at the moment and this whole

This may not be the best one so I apologize in advance, but its the closest I got.

Blue Gender, the world is invaded by basically giant bugs. While they humans do fight with electronic technology, all the alien stuff is fleshy and bio-tech type stuff.

There's Tekkaman Blade, though transformed characters are pretty robotic-looking outside of that one OVA.

I remember an american kid's movie with that premise, a kid gets inside an alien armor or something. Tokusatsu shows are what you are looking for, though I don't know much about it so I can't name some titles, like >>166092 said, Kamen is a good starting point.
