Anime series/non-anime movie where the MC beats the odds? Or where good/love prevails despite the outlook in the beginning? Manga is okay, but not preferred.
I know that's extremely vague but I kind of want to cast a wide net because my taste in things varies. Going through a difficult time right now and I need things like this to cheer me up.
Prefer the MC to be female but male MCs are okay too.
Here's this so no one recommends something I've already watched:

I know it's all probably all shit tier but w/e.
Feel free to reinforce things on my Plan to Watch list.

Cardcaptor Sakura? Even at its darkest it never gets too grim but it's still a really strong "love conquers all" kind of story. Plus a female protagonist, and a really great one at that.
Gurren Lagann is absolutely huge on "good triumphs over immense odds" but the ending might bring you down.
That's pretty much every modern shonen anime ever. Look up action romance. Usually the ones with high school backgrounds are this way.
