Which browser is better: Chrome or Firefox? I am hesitant to use Chrome because of how much Google tracks you.
Chrome may be a little faster but uses much more RAM.
I don't bother the google tracks me thing. What will they do anyway, I'm just an internet user among millions.
neither
palemoon
chrome or chromium
firefox used to be good but not anymore

Palemoon sounds promising. What sets it apart from the others. Btw I have a mac, but I managed to find a port called 'New Moon'. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, anon.

>What sets it apart from the others
if that was a question....PM stayed true to what firefox should have been/still be since it all went to crap after they added the Australis garbage
some FF addons are not compatible, but overall it's worth it

I also notice that the default search engine is duck duck go. Should I change it to google, or is duckduckgo superior. As far as I can tell, most of the PM community prefers DuckDuckGo.

having never used it, it's whatever you want it to be
I've been meaning to add a few to use with context search

Which do you prefer (the most) though? Google or DuckDuckGo. I hear people like ddg because it doesn't use cookies to trace you.
>>162499
I use google, but I don't think that necessarily has anything to do with the browser being used
it's personal preference

As I take it, PaleMoon is a work in progress? Should I expect to see ample bugs?
>>162520
only in that it is regularly updated; the releases are fully functional
I've been using it (windows version) since the FF change and apart from getting some extensions to work, it's been great
Any knowledge of the mac ports? NewMoon seems to be fairly outdated.
