How do I disconnect from all wifi on windows 10? I want to use my ethernet connection because it's 10x faster.

open the start menu and search for "network connections." then you can either disconnect from each wifi connection manually, or press alt and click on "advanced." then click "advanced settings." click on "ethernet" and if it isn't at the top of the list already click on the green arrow pointing up to the right. once ethernet is at the top it will always be used unless disconnected.

You gotta talk me through it. I click alt and there is no 'advanced'

click alt once while on that screen
All right, I see my confusion. My roommates named the network Bloody Monkey and before I updated to 10 last night I was simply used to turning off the wifi and have the icon switch to the Ethernet. I never bothered to notice that the Ethernet connection is also called 'Bloody Monkey' so I've been banging my head on the wall for no reason.
Thank you for talking me through. It looks like I had already connected to the Ethernet and didn't realize.
