I thought since I'm new at anime, I'd be in a similar spot as your gf. Meaning if I can watch Space Dandy without being overwhelmed, she can too.

I really enjoyed binbougami ga.
It's about a girl who has too much luck so a misfortune god comes down to earth to try and fix it.
