Dont know if this is the right board, but im interested in upgrading my graphics card (from a shitty nvidia 645)
There is an asus gtx960 4gb strix for 160 US dollars, is this a good price? I'm also worried the 128bit bus width will not perform well.
Can anyone educate me on a good budget graphics card to purchase at the moment?
Thanks for your time
Yeah that seems a good price, however what's your motherboard? Just check if it's compatible with it and check your PSU as well.

Yeah get a 600w that'll be more than enough,
if you have that CPU then your motherboard will be fine
Good price for the gpu, just don't get the stock one.
PSU have a look on amazon, buy EVGA or corsair

yeah im thinking of getting the corsair 600w, whats your opinion on 128bit? is that gonna hinter me, i'm only interested in 1080p gaming.

Safe choice
With a 128bit bus I can't see it bottle necking, depends what you're playing, but I highly doubt it. In mind assuming you're on a tight budget; the r9 280 (380) might be a good option
Nvidia just blew all of their competition out of the water with their new gfx card set. They are more expensive than what you are talking about, but if you buy a GTX1070 for $400 you will not need to replace it... for the forseeable future. It is more powerful than the Titan X, which sells for $1000 currently. An entirely new generation of graphics cards will be needed to make this thing obsolete, and that will be at least five years.

>GTX 960 for 160USD
>RX 480 aka GTX 980 performance for 199USD
Is this even a question?

Unless he's running a system with PCIe 1.0 or AGP, it'll be compatible. If he's running a GT 645 in either of those he's using some black magic.

OP, the 10x0 series is so much better than anything else available that it's criminally stupid not to get one. I know you want toys now, but you're basically flushing money down the toilet getting a 960 for $150 when you can get a 1060 that's FOUR TIMES AS FAST for $250.
The new generation of chips is so much better than the older ones that if you're buying /anything/ based on an older process, you are an absolute muppet.
