As for your question, unless the cable you got is faulty, then it's almost certainly the power adapter. Do you know anyone else who has one? If so, try swapping in their power adapter to test parts.

Your safest bet would be to buy the Razer branded one. A fun $75.
Otherwise, you're looking at trying to find a 45-watt USB-C power supply, and I can't find any cheaper universal ones.
