Hi, /wsr/
I'm a poorfag and I want to built myself a neat new PC, however I am completely out of the loop in terms of hardware, therefore I wanted to ask you guys for recommendations. I want to spent something along the lines of 550 Euros.
I'd like to go for an Intel i5 Processor and an ASRock B85M Pro3 with 8GB of RAM.
Also, a friend of mine offered his old graphics card, which is a GeForce GTX 560 ti, which is obviously underwhelming (but free), and would be a pretty annoying bottleneck but I'd upgrade later on, when I can afford a better graphics card (like a Sapphire Nitro R9 380).
Does this sound even remotely sensible?
pls halp.
desperate bump
Well, If you can live without 19K graphics @ 384fps.. Go for it
I ran the 550 ti up until last Autumn ... Good shit.

I wouldn't mind 3k FPS at one gorillion pixels, but I being poor have nothing but my dreams...

B85 is Haswell, I'm not sure why you'd consider that for a new rig unless you can get an unusually good deal. You might as well go Skylake, the price difference is negligible on a 550 budget and it gives you more years of availability for parts if stuff breaks. Also, less TDP on the newer CPUs, meaning lower power bill and easier to cool.

Quite frankly, I got that out of a recommendation online, but those tend to be rather sketchy, so I thought I'd better ask for any advice here.
