/wsr/, is it possible to open rar files without using winzip?

/wsr/, is it possible to open rar files without using winzip? I'm very new to files and computers.

I've also looked at 7-zip, but I don't know if it's safe. Requesting help.

Yes, I use winrar, but 7-zip is basically the same thing.

7zip is 100% safe. I've been using it ever since I got this PC and I've had not a single issue
