If you want to get the smoothest experience possible for watching airing anime, you should subscribe to RSS feeds on nyaa. Just search for a pattern that covers all the episodes you want like "Horriblesubs 720 [anime name]", and click the RSS button at the top. Then copy paste the url from there into uTorrent/qBittorrent/whatever and add as an RSS feed. Then you'll download the episodes automatically as they are released.

If you're using MAL you can also download MAL Updater or Taiga to have easy access to all the shows you are currently watching without digging around in directories.

If you really can't torrent, I'd recommend you to XDCC instead of using animetosho. DDL sites are a pain in the ass.
