Does anybody have some good ambient music recommendations? I like listening to it while I fall asleep, but my playlist needs some new stuff.
I prefer stuff without drums, so stuff like https://youtu.be/K15w89i1w-g and https://youtu.be/mehLx_Fjv_c most likely wouldn't make it on, but stuff like https://youtu.be/h1mpNE-2EBo, https://youtu.be/Y-Qu_Fk23T4, and http://astroskeleton.bandcamp.com/track/windowsill-garden are great.
Pic unrelated, just a random wallpaper I found in my folders.

Might not be what you're looking for, since it's more of just ambient sounds more than music, but Robert Rich is my favorite ambient music artist, not that I know many or even a few.
Give this a listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ld5uEuA0Fg
It's actually 3 parts in one.
Also, this is off the album "Nest", which I suggest downloading along with Somnium: https://a.pomf.cat/sfnqec.flac
His stuff is great for when I want to read something, since it's mostly all really soothing or not distracting.
And some individual tracks that are really ambient/soothing to me:

Hopefully at least some of these are what you want.
Try this if you like his stuff: http://www.last.fm/music/Robert+Rich/+similar
I hope you enjoy these songs. I have quite an affinity for ambient/soothing/chill music.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention Ryo Fukui. His two albums that you can find online, Scenery and Mellow Dream, are both really lovely. They might be a little too upbeat, but maybe some of them will be exactly what you're looking for.
Full Scenery album:

Mellow Dream might be more in line with your criteria, but both of them are fantastic, so definitely give both a listen.

I highly recommend Biosphere(Geir Jenssen), Tim Hecker, Silver Mt.Zion, Brian Eno, and Sigur Ros. I hope that you check out these artists more in depth since I am a massive fan of them, some might be a bit out there but they are worth a listen. Geir has music listen under Biosphere and under his own name just as a heads up. Also most of Sigur Ros's include Icelandic vocals as well as amazing drum work but Valtari doesn't really include much of either. I hope you enjoy something on here.
Biosphere (very good ambient music, also has field recordings if you're into that kind of stuff)

Oh also tossing out a minor shout out to Aphex Twin, while not mainly ambient he has some good songs that might interest you. Most of his songs include drums/beats so they wouldn't really fit in with your request but you might enjoy Selected Ambient Works Vol 2 or some of his other songs.

Those individual tracks are great, Anon. Thanks. I actually already have Gymnopedie No. 1 on my playlist, but a chiptune cover, not the original. https://soundcloud.com/anamanaguchi/gymnopedie

I have a ton of Brian Eno on my playlist already, and a stray Aphex Twin song or two (Avril 14 is great), but these other names are new to me. That Sigur Ros album is amazing. Thanks so much!

Sigur Ros is definitely one of my favorite bands and Valtari is their most "ambient" album (they have an album called () that comes close second "ambient-wise" to Valtari but it includes more vocals and drums) but I would highly suggest checking out their other stuff as well; Takk... and Ágætis byrjun are fantastic and if you want something a bit more heavy Kveikur is amazing.
