What's the simplest way to get a device playing audio (like an iPod or a 3DS) playing into your computer's audio output? I'm currently using a mixer that came with a headset to do it, which just routes the audio into the headset, but I'm replacing the headset and therefore won't be using this mixer anymore. My new headset is USB so I assume I need something new to do it.
>>
For clarification, the mixer only works with 3.5mm single jack headsets, and my new one is USB therefore unusable.

If you've got a HDA soundcard (if you don't know, you do), get a 3.5mm/3.5mm lead, plug one end into the DS and the other into any port on the PC.

Open up your mixer, and there'll be a "listen to this port" button.

I assume you mean the one with the different colored ports yeah?

And by mixer, you mean the audio card's mixer rather than the headset's physical one?

I mean the mixer in Windows.

This thing here.

If you've got an older soundcard, you'll need to work out which port is the input.

And it can be any of the colored ports?

On a modern card, yep.

On an older PC, it has to be the light-blue one.
