The whole talk is great. It starts out with him outlining his theory that the human brain developed with the aid of psychedelic mushrooms on the African plains. Yeah, that's always relieving to be reminded of. But then it still bothers me when they take it away so you can't go where they don't want you to go. It's just that kids can miss out on things that could really become good experiences in the long run that their parents kept them from seeing due to paranoia.
I understand it's a bad idea for a kid to start going into deeper tier stuff they don't yet understand and soon getting into serious trouble, but keeping them in an air-tight bubble of safety where they are always watched and restricted regarding where they can go isn't much better in my opinion.
