That is from MGS2. It turns real good in the final act but is also good for the first 90% of the game.

MGS1 I've unfortunately haven't gotten the time to play, MGS3 is a masterpiece and I liked MGS4 as well. MGS5 was left unfinished unfortunately but the parts that were released were good.
Not being able to finish the story killed it for me however.

It has cloaking devices and cyber-hands, robot spider tanks, cyber-brains, and advanced Internet-style communications.

Jin-Roh has dudes with scary armour and machineguns. It's dystopian all right, and the cast mostly consists of the downtrodden (or government underlings), but it's missing the high-tech to be *cyber*-punk.

Yeah well the power beam is kinda like a machine gun or like an m4 and the gun gogol has reminded me the cutscene in prime 2 where sammy is covered with ing and shoots in that fashion. Also it looks like phazon also has those long projectile effects like you could recolor it from yellow to blue and it looks the same as the charge beam for phazon. Well i like the looks of it but samus is scared again like in other m. I imagined that theres nothing could suprise her and the local fauna and predators have to be afraid of her and not vica versa, but they probably did it that way so that the viewer could feel closer to her.

Psycho Pass was really enjoyable IMO.
The only downside for me was that it felt like it ended too soon but holy cow I had fun watching it!

The setting is not as ultra-dystopian but it's definitely cyberpunk and spoopy at times given the implications of a lot of the technology.

I'm not sure it "compares" per se but it's definitely worth a watch.

If you like Metal Gear, then MGS1 is an objective masterpiece the you ought to play sometime. The graphics are pretty dated (late 90s) but were cutting edge back then. The VA, themes and story are all on point though. One of my faves growing up.
