No dawg, synth-pop is a different genre cluster altogether and has more to do with post-punk and gothic subcultures. There's some overlap with a select few groups (especially the more grimdark-sounding ones) but the cross-scene influences are generally very limited

What you're thinking of is italo disco from the 80's/early 90's, this is also why sometimes synthwave is being called new italo disco because it's a kind of revivalist movement

Well instead of stealing youtube videos off NewRetroWave by using a youtube to mp4 and getting crappy resolutions.

Download the actual album and convert the mp3 to webm. Just trim the video to 300 seconds, set the bitrate to 1 and file-size to 4mb. If it magically goes over 4mb ( 4mb is 1024kilobytes x 4 while the 4chan limit is 4000kilobytes) just set it to 3.9mb.

Many Synthwave artists like to create Avante Garde tracks in their album to slow down the pace and rhythm of an album, however most of these tracks are within the Start, as an intro, or at the end of the album, personally I do not like them because they seem to be drawn out for too long and try hard to be "experimental"
