in the old route it was the biggest menu in the game and was towards the end of the run. Since you're short on money you need to sell off everything you don't need to afford all the shit you do need for the final part of the game and if you watch him skipping over items it's because they're all crucial and not having them can fuck you over on certain bosses throughout the end of the game. You'd see people spending a good 3 to 5 minutes doing that menu but the guy in that video is the WR holder. Aside from all the selling and buying you're constantly switching out abilities and items to suit each upcoming boss and the faster the better really, it's a speedrun afterall
