As I'm sure you found out, it's hard to make parts where one color fades into another within a frame look good within 4chan's file size limit. Additionally, most digital video works by only saving the differences between frames, so parts where the entire frame changes to something completely different tend to take up a lot of space. Your video also has black bars on the sides that can be trimmed to save space. Also consider lowering the resolution to 360px tall or even 240px tall.
