I don't know but it looks possible, I found other (non-wp worthy) pics of this phenomenon.
I don't know if the speed of the plane can generate pression and make ambiant water liquefying around the plane.
If thats the case, you could see a rainbow with the right angle I guess...

It happens when the plane achieves the sonic speed (around 340 m/s). At this specific speed (Mach number=1) the plane creates a pressure wave that condenses water in air. All this photos were taken at the exact moment that the plane goes from sub-sonic to super-sonic speeds.

Nice explanation, but I think the question might have been about the colors.

I don't know if shooped, but if they are real, it's probably light refraction through the ice crystals (or vapor) ... the same effect as a rainbow or a high-altitude "glory" or "sun dog."

It is the same process. it's the first 1000 digits of pi in order.

I hate it when people think this makes you insignificant. All it does is make you comparatively small. Viruses are microscopic and can kill the strongest beings on earth, photons are can't even be pinpointed but enable life to exist. You may be one person out of many and, compared to what surrounds you, are absolutely tiny but none of that dictates your significance. You do. It's all relative. The size of this world should put you in awe, not depression.

>>6556494

I'm guessing you're not super interested in changing your mind, but here's some actual info for anyone interested.

"The four corners of the earth" is a poetic device. It alludes Old Testament passages like Isaiah 11:12 ("And he shall ... assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.") In context it means something like "the whole world" because it refers to all four cardinal directions. It's like "the four winds". It's the same basic phrase as "to the ends of the earth" that is in common usage even in our day and doesn't literally mean to where the earth ends, it means something like "as far as you like".

The bible elsewhere explicitly states the roundness of the earth and it floating in space in less metaphorical language.

* "It is He [God] who sits above the circle of the earth, ..." - Isaiah 40:22
* "He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing." - Job 26:7
* "He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, At the boundary of light and darkness." - Job 26:10

The bible is generally unconcerned with things like this, instead emphasizing the *origins* over the structure. Nonetheless, it's still there in incidentally, sometimes.

Nice numerical full house, but that isn't quite correct.

The pressure wave isn't instantly created at Mach 1; It is built up as the aircraft moves faster. Above Mach .3 compressability starts coming into play, but the shock wave itself forms at Mach 1. The condensation in pic related occurs because of the low pressure area behind the shock wave, allowing the water molecules in the air to come out of suspension and form a cloud due to the low pressure raising the dewpoint, and therefore the relative humidity. A visible pressure wave can form lower than Mach 1, so the plane doesn't have to be going supersonic.

This aircraft is going Mach .97

I did some research on a breast cancer sub-type known as CaEXR. It's similar to Mcf-7ca's but it is exemastane resistant, and the primary pathway for its proliferation is unknown. I did a mamosphere on it and and looked at the cancer stem cell characteristics. I thought it looked cool. Feel free to alter it and stuff

>>
>>6561577
>>6561576
Oh and for all those who don't know what mamospheres are. In cancer, there are tumor cells and the stem cells that make other cells. New research is showing that agressive cancers have a lot to do with the number and aggressiveness of these cancer stem cells. So with a mamosphere, i suspended the cancer cells, waited a while, so the normal tumor cells die off and the only ones that can remain anchorage free are the cancer stem cells. After a while the cancer stem cells make more tumor cells and it forms a ball that can be seen with the correct equipment. Some cancers, like the CaExr have large, dense, irregular mamospheres, while others like the Mcf-7ca's have smaller, more round mamospheres.

If Christianity was still extreme, I would have been killed long ago. If my mother had become a Mormon one year prior, I would have never been born. You are unique not because of where you are, but because of what you are. It is virtually impossible for another me to exist. It is virtually impossible for another you to exist. We may lose sight of that when we look at the enormous scale of the universe, but even each atom is different. The movement of the photons, the quirks within, the level of energy it holds, are unique to that one atom. and you have billions of those unique particles of creation comprising you.

Anons, the technical term for this phenomenon is "Prandtl-Glauert Singularity". Basically, the air flowing around these aircraft is traveling around Mach 1, the speed of sound. The vapor pressure in the air flow is dropping below the dew point, the point at which water condenses out of the air and forms droplets. These cool looking cloud things are the result.
