How do you keep all of your wallpapers organized? I've got a couple hundred, and need a way to sort them out. Any solutions, preferably OS X friendly?
>>
I have two main directories: /w/ and /wg/. Each folder has subfolders for categories like Architecture, Space, Warriors, etc. I then divide them even further, such as Architecture having Interiors, Ceilings, and Bridges. If I want to set multiple folders in a single rotation, I create a library in Windows Explorer (or Clover) and put the folders I want there. Pretty tedious, but I find it to be an efficient method.

I tried this, but OS X only takes a single directory for wallpapers, and ignores subfolders. Thanks for the help though.
>>
>>6416195
LOL, fucking OSX. Can't even deal with subfolders.
>>
>>6416206
It's absurd, I know. But I need it for work, and they freaked out when I threw Linux on it.

IT'S SO SIMPLE. IT JUST WERKS.

>what do you need a right-click for?
>don't hold it that way
>one button is all you need
>oh, you need an adapter? That'll be an extra hundred dollars.
>no, you don't need to repair your computer yourself. That's why we use proprietary screws. It's OUR computer and we're just letting you borrow it.

I feel like a tags system would work but I'm not sure of there's anything out there that does this
>>
>>6417774
I just do this to the filename & then manually search for a tag when i want something specific. it's not particularly classy but it does the trick.
>>
>>6417786
etc
>>
>>6417786
Do you ever run into problems with the order of search terms?
>>
>>6417774
There is Adobe Bridge but I've never learned it
>>
>>6416175
I'd just organize them by themes... movies, games, anime, landscapes, fantasy, women, etc. and you could create some sub-folders... Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones... Skyrim, Fallout, GTA... One Piece, Bleach, Fairy Tail... and so on...

separate folders for series I really like and have alot of wallpapers for. Then:

>anime
>/co/
>vidya (western)
>vidya (eastern)
>history
>lewd

anything that doesn't fit:

>sci-fi
>fantasy

anything that still doesn't fit is sorted into:

>misc (digital art)
>misc (painted)
>misc (photograph)

>>6416175
Well, I just keep mine in one giant folder, and remember where they are.

I'm fucked in the head, though, so that probably won't work for you. As someone who has lots of experience dealing with and exploring the capabilities of OS X, I recommend the "Parallels Desktop" approach.

folder: wallpapers
inside folders like: low poly, flat, photo, architecture etc.
