So uh, I'm starting to get into anime (mostly because of my friends) and I was wondering if anyone has got any good wallpapers from their favorite anime.
PS: Sorry for the reaction image, I don't have anything anime related on my PC yet, except some anime my friend downloaded for me.
Aim for the top was gud
Samurai Champloo is pretty good.
i really enjoyed tokyo ghoul, with the bandwagon its probably one of the most popular anime currently. very good action and lots of external and internal character struggle, mostly what i look for in an anime
>>1884183
Have you tried looking at the catalog OP?
>>>/w/catalog
>>1884187
The tokyo ghoul anime was a pretty bad adaption it left out heaps of important character development and story especially in season 2 which made almost no sense at all.
madoka magica is god tier
>>1884187
Read the manga, man.
>>1884183
you need to go back about 10 years and watch all the good ones, some of the recent shit out today just doesnt pass in my opinion..
>>1884203
if you're starting out.. anime such as.. dbz, date a live, infinite stratos, one piece, bleach, love hina, please teacher, welcome to the nhk.. you know some light stuff
>>1884189

>>1884183

Go around on other boards like /a/ /b/ or /c/ and make a folder of all the reacouring anime reaction images you see and look them up. People keep them cuz they like the anime. That's how I started
>>1884189
If your gonna have him decide what to watch by comparing animes to their adaptations he'll never watch anything
>>1884197
Some of >>1884205
>>1884213 (even I haven't watched a couple of his)
And >>1884214
Are good recomendations
Also, avoid getting obsessed. Alot of people become socially akward after they start so be aware.
And avoid anything shonen. They're very long and easy to obsess over
>>1884183
bone-shaking shit right here boss
"Spirited Away"
>>1884183
You could suggest some types of themes you enjoy and why anime is becoming interesting to you. If you've watched anything, mention what you did & did not like about what you watched.
Spook around >>>/a/ a bit, skim & read some threads. Probably best if you don't jump in and post all "Hi guiz I am an n00b wat 2 watch?" because it could get pretty brutal.
Lern to lurk.
Anyway, welcome to our disease. It gets pretty comfy if you just embrace it.
Of what has been mentioned already, I endorse (for n00bz): Samurai Champloo, Toradora (fucking essential), Cowboy Beebop, Spice and Wolf, Spirited Away (most anything Studio Ghibli).
I'll add: Occult Academy, NOIR, Angel Beats, House of Five Leaves, Irresponsible Captain Tyler, Eve no Jikan, Tokyo Ravens, Paprika, Perfect Blue, Elfen Lied, Miyori's Forest, Venus Wars, Ninja Scroll, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Seriel Experiments Lain .. just a few to google up and see what might be interesting to you. There's hundreds possible, but need to know what your interests are to narrow them down.
This is a current one that's pretty decent: >>1882167
Also
> go back about 10 years and watch all the good ones
is essential advice, but that's a larger project (hundreds more possibilities). Some amazing shit happened before 2005 back into the late 1990s, but that will take investigating the rabbit hole a bit before you know what to target & select.
Suggest you familiarize yourself with http://bakabt.me/ and related forum https://forums.bakabt.me/ The forum is a bit slow these days, but it's a good community and will treat you fairly so long as you don't be a retard. Invest a few hours (or days) reading through the threads in the Recommendations sub-forum: https://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?board=22.0 and you'll get a lot of ideas of what to try.

i know what you're saying but i dont want to keep going back to watch worse animation even though the plot is great.. i just can't anymore.. hurts my brain
>>1884183
dont listen to people who say dont watch an anime because the manga was better. a show can still be enjoyable without it reaching the manga elitist standards
>>1884278
Berserk. is all im gonna say
>>1884278
but still give manga a shot, lots of good stuff there.
>>1884230
God tier
suppose I'll post my recommended with name in file
Everything I have I'd probably recommend now I think about it
Rozen
>>1884609
>>1884187
So much shit taste
Gurren Lagann, one of my all time favorites
old but gold
>>1884183
Last Exile Season 1
Season 2 has butchered pacing
it's steampunk naval warfare crossed with sci-fi
Hardly any good stuff of Basilisk, so here's my two cents.
>>1884183
They are not your friends.
True friends would never get you into anime.
These are people that simply want to see you spend all of your hard earned cash on blu-rays, figures, pillowcases and onaholes.... Bastards!
Here, have a wallpaper!
>>1884685
SHHhhhh!!
We always need new meat coming in on the bottom of the pyramid. If the cash stops flowing into the precious ...
Have some Zakuro Otome Youkai.
>>1884690
Also Sora no Woto for a strong recommend.
Still haven't seen what type of shit OP might be interested in.
You looking for bewbs? Mature? Mecha? Moe? School girls? Horror? Ninja/samurai? Sci fi? Spirit world? Throw some genres at us if you're still around OP.
>>1884692
Guess I'll also throw High School of the Dead on the pile. Senseless bewbs & gratuitous pantsu, zombies and mindless slaughter .... best of all worlds.
pro-tip: never listen to tripfags; they're always wrong and full of shit:
>>1884265
>>1884183
Most people don't like it, which makes it hard to recommend in good faith. But since this is technically not a rec thread (or is it now?) and rather just one for pretty wallpapers from favourite anime, have this one.
>>1884693
damn
>>1884183
it's hard to go wrong with eureka seven as an intro to anime. a lot of the stuff on netflix is really good so finding something there would definitely be worth your time. it'd be pretty easy to get into fullmetal alchemist (either one works fine as there are two adaptations). as for recommendations not on netflix, crunchyroll has a lot of great shows with free streaming. for classics, i recommend either rurouni kenshin (samurai x) or GTO (great teacher onizuka). for more modern shows that are easy to take in, i suggest amagi brilliant park, is it wrong to try and pick up girls in a dungeon (yes that is the title), and gurren lagann. all of these shows can be found on either netflix or crunchyroll and the ones on crunchyroll that i mentioned do not require you to have a membership. if you prefer to watch a show in which they speak english instead of reading subtitles, you will either have to use netflix or search for another streaming site. i hope this helps.
pic is gurren lagann related.
One punch man surprisingly good too
>>1884692
I second Sora no Woto
>>1884183
Some of the stuff that I like that I don't see mentioned a lot
Natsume yujin-chou (pic, usually pretty low key)
Chihayafuru
Tegami Bachi, although it's pretty strange
If no one has said it already Serial Experiments Laine (sp?) will fuck with your head. I got a hardcore migraine my first time watching
There are others that I like, but they've probably been covered
Watamote is one of my favorites, kind of hard to find good wallpapers of it though
Jojos bizarre adventure is one of my favorites and the fourth part is coming out soon
>>1885043
Me too ^^
just to threw some more names in for you op:
>Deathnote, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist
four very different but very well known anime series. Deathnote is an entry level thriller with rather intelligent story. Evangelion an epic mecha classic with focus on philosophical things, cowboy bebop is all about its unique genre mix between sci-fi/western/jazz-music with exceptional artstyle and the best music in any anime ever while fullmetal alchemist gives a great story and steampunky universe and great action and humor
>if you like realistic/futuristic crime stories
ghost in the shell/ psycho pass
>...absurd over the top humor and action
kill la kill/ gurrenn lagann
>...cute stuff
toradora (classic love story)/ k-on! (moe heavy and perfect to chill)
>...fap material
oreimo(harem) /fate kaleid liner prisma(yuri)
seriously, dont watch these
>>1885115
i meant to post this one, since mine is actually in another thread right now
>>1885079
Does anyone have or have the ability to make a Red Eye wallpaper from the first episode of Cowboy Bebop?
>>1884183
if you wanna find more go to myanimelist. huge db of anime, manga, and light novels.
dont interact with the community
Aku no Hana
>>1885323
Listen to this bitch, anon knows his shit
No sword art? I suggest sword art online why? Cause you will cry like a lil girl and love it
>>1886737
Please don't assume everyone will like the same shows as you. I watched this, both seasons, and didn't love it. It was interesting, I was definitely entertained and enjoyed Asuna Sinon and Sugu, but to me it doesn't deserve all the hype it's getting.
It's better to make recommendations than assumptions
>>1884183
OP watch Welcome to the NHK
>>1884616
Gurren Lagann is outstanding. Watch it when you can.
>>1887510
If you like action you must definitely watch this
>not starting with this
>>1887517
It should be mentioned though, Gurren Lagann is not for you if you don't like hammy and over-the-top action.
>>1884833
You should not do either FMA the regular full metal alchemist as that was a pretty bad rendition. FMA brotherhood was more true to the manga and is a much better and more flushed out story.
can't go wrong with great teacher onizuka
>>1884256
don't recommend /a/ to new people theres just autism, bitterness, and spoilers there.
>>1884183 imo gateway anime like code geass and deathnote are gateway anime for a reason and i reccomend them if you're new OP.
>pic related Sword Art Online
