Anyone liked these "clear all enemies to beat the stage" games?

I like these games too. Is there a good name for this genre of video games?

Japan calls them Comical Action Games, and Single-Screen Platformer works as well.

I remember playing tumble pop at some children's play room where they had a lot of arcade machines like Asterix and Obelix, Super C and even a re-built one where you could play GTA 1. It felt so satisfying to suck up those monsters and bouncing them all over the screen and the sounds were also pretty good. Does anybody know if Data Easts arcade games are emulated well on any emulator nowdays? If so I'm gonna grab the roms and try to play them again after over a decade.

Game looks really fun, but fuck these Japanese games and their complete lack of anything resembling an overall theme.

Rodland is really fun too

I wish the game was on Windows with h-scenes.

Wow, I really dig the fun attitude this game's op is giving.

the designs all look like a lot of fun too. ACTUAL FUN. Feel like that's something modern day lolicons are missing out on. Or maybe that's just anime artists in general.

Pretty much only machine that was always busy.

Yoyo's puzzle park is one of the best

Taito were surely the pioneers of this kind of game with the likes of The Fairyland Story and Chack'n'Pop leading up to Bubble Bobble.
There was a point in the mid '90s where it seemed any place that had a single Jamma cab setup ALWAYS had either Snow Bros or Captain Commando installed in it. No wonder Snow Bros was bootlegged to hell.

>collect all dudes != kill all enemies

Reminder that Bubble Symphony is the best Bubble Bobble
>>

Can't say I like the genre as much as it exists, but Zupapa is easily one of the best Neogeo games that isn't a FF/KOF/AOF or a Metal Slug.
