I am currently at 26 jiggies and 286 notes
nice i was thinking about doing a replay of bk myself.
usually run it every other year because barely any backtracking makes it a solid and rather quick experience.
Collectathons are no substance shit for retarded kindergarten shit.

I'm just dropping some red pills.
>>4240390
your opinions are not the hard truth m8
>>4240417
Yes they are, there's a reason why collectathons have died.
>>4240420
some people like it, others dont, your opinions will never be the ultimate truth no matter what you say. if you want to be a contrarian you can go back to /v/

Fantastic game.
CCW is a work of art.

Pretty decent. The graphics have been bumped to 720P and everything looks nice and sharp. They even revived the stop and swap concept so that progress in the first game carries over to the next game in some way. But if I remember it was all for some disappointing avatar clothes or something. If you were going to introduce someone who has never played the originals or a child, I'd probably just pick these versions due to ease of access, and visual quality. You can even play them on the xbone now..
If you don't like microsoft consoles, Then I would recommend picking the most acurate N64 emulator, and playing them that way. Maybe you can even bump the internal resolution up to 1080p if you want to. N64's and B-K 1 and 2 have gone up in price due to retro hipster nostalgia and the experience of hooking up a N64 to a HDTV is an underwhelming dogshit experience so that's the worst way.

They run in 1080p, actually. And they are locked to 30 fps with no drops, which makes them the definitive version visually.
Some minor nitpicks:
- the Comicrazy font has been replaced with a different odd font. It's not bad, but I really liked the old one.
- Certain audio doesn't run properly. For example, some of the wobble effects in the music in Witchyworld that makes it stand out does not function properly in the XBLA port of Tooie.

Who else 100% here?
>>4244324
But do you have all 40 extra Mumbo Token, Anon? Remember, if you missed that one in Gobi's Valley you have to restart the whole game over again to get a true 100%.
>>4240508
Objectively superior for the sole reason that you don't have to re-collect old notes after restarting the world. Feels weird to play on a 360 pad after all these years, though.

One of my favorite games of yesteryear, absolutely fantastic. Levels are open and encourage exploration but densely packed with secrets and rewards, never a dull moment. Despite being quite open, the worlds are superbly designed and focused enough that you rarely get lost or can't figure out what to do next.
I recently started playing it again recently and I forgot how fucking great this game looks, easily one of the most graphically intensive games of the generation and true testament to how incredibly skilled Rare was, not to mention what the N64 was capable of.
It saddens me that ignorant faggots like >>4240374 have memed this game into becoming a "retarded kindergarten shit collectathon" based on pre-conceived notions and not having actually played the game. They really don't know what they're missing.

>Objectively superior for the sole reason that you don't have to re-collect old notes
>it's better because it's easier
Are you sure you aren't a HG101 writer? If not, you should be. You'll fit right in.

>N64's and B-K 1 and 2 have gone up in price due to retro hipster nostalgia
By "gone up in price" you mean about 1/3 of their original retail value? If you can't afford to shell out 20 or 30 bucks for a good game that you'll enjoy for the rest of your life, get a new fucking hobby. Also:
>the experience of hooking up a N64 to a HDTV is an underwhelming dogshit experience so that's the worst way.
It's called a CRT retard, plenty of people will be happy to give you one for free. Besides, upscaling old games to high resolutions makes them look fucking retarded, they weren't designed for that. It makes them look blocky and angular, even moreso than they already are, and the imperfections are no longer hidden by the fuzziness of CRTs. God damn, emufags really are the absolute cancer of this hobby.
I played both Kazooie and Tooie last year on pj64 with the 60fps gameshark, i had some problems with the code, mostly Tooie (like softlock on some cutscenes and wash machine Banjo having weird physics) but they worked perfectly without issued, you could also try bizhawk if you want something more accurate.
>>4243350
It is. I love how the music was the first piece of music written for Banjo-Kazooie.
Nnnnnnn I don't want this to die we were having such a nice discussion.
I know I'm not the only one who has a tradition playing BK once a year. Anyone else do that?
>>4240004
What was his problem?
Great game to get high to. Very musical, and it has outstanding charm.
>>4246528
i play every year or every other year. look forward to freezeezy peak every time i play

It only dawned on me relatively recently, but....
>squirrel has a bunch of nuts for winter
>eats them all like a greedy mofo
>asks for other people to get him more
>all the acorns you get him are literally directly outside his house, one even INSIDE his house
>in winter we find an entire secret attic above his house FILLED WITH PILES UPON PILES OF ACORNS
>also he got some squirl to sleep next to
He played us.
