This. It can be surprisingly harrowing. You get strangely attached to your little troops, each one being individually named. When they're KIA, the next time you're in the pre-mission screen there's an extra tombstone on the hill as more fresh recruits walk down the path and line up to take their place.

Sometimes you won't straight up kill an enemy soldier and they will lie there in their death throes, bleeding out in pain. Will you put them out of their misery?

That game is amazing too, but I was actually talking about the original game on PC98. Action rpg where you lead an army of cats, and your main character is continuously moving towards the cursor. Even when you're trying to talk to npcs.
It's a blast.

Forgotten by everyone outside Russia because it was made by one crazy russian with an idea that he could make a kinetic physics-based action that would make youfeel as if you are physically holding a large ball on a chain (he did).

Said to require P3 and 256 megs of RAM but can run on P2 400 Mhz as well - that's how I played the leaked beta back then
