Well, I just beat the anniversary edition on steam. I feel a bit conflicted about the harsh trial & error gameplay contrasted against the amazing style and aesthetic, but that's not the issue.

The issue is that this port is a fucking dumpster fire. Terrible control mapping, constant crashing, dropped inputs everywhere and overall just a really shoddy job on most aspects. I would not trust Dotemu to hold their own dicks while they pee after playing this shit version of the game.

Yes, it's on steam. There's some higher resolution background art in the rerelease, but imho it's not worth the problems with the port.
