Kirby 30th Anniversary collection has 5 kirby games, but I would rather own each of them on whichever platform they were released on. To put it bluntly, I would rather own 5 things instead of 1.
Sonic Mega Collection has the following:

>Sonic 2
>Sonic 3
>Sonic & Knuckles
>Sonic 3D Blast
>Sonic Spinball
But I would rather own Sonic 1, 2, 3, Knuckles and Spinball on Genesis and 3D Blast on Saturn than to have a collection that contains all of them.
This applies to modern gen as well, which I won't mention, but current gen will receive ports of last gen titles that are collections, but I avoid them in favour of getting the last gen titles individually. However, if they are offered in current gen as standalone only, I gladly buy it and sell off the last gen redundancy.

Only poorfags think that way. As for scalpers, I don't really buy from them. Especially the faggots reselling the NES/SNES classic minis. I only buy from sellers that give good deals on the games they sell.
