Does /vr/ like Megaman Xtreme 1 and 2? I am playing them now. I skipped Extreme Mode in the first game because apparently it is all the same bosses, but I read in the second game there's a new boss and also you can unlock a boss rush mode. So I beat a level as Zero and noticed only he got a new ability, not X. So how will that work, in terms of being able to get all the upgrades? Or will there always be a weapon available that can break down barriers?
Also, if I just play the stages as the character they were intended for, can I get them both all their health and armor upgrades?
Loved it. Some levels have new layouts. Unfortunately I can't remember much about it, I'm sorry.
Meh. They're clunky downgrades of MMX1-3 that try to pretend they aren't.
If this is anything like X5 and X6 you're probably intended to focus all upgrades on one character at a time each playthrough.

HOWEVER they had playable Zero with Z-Saber. And the Sigma Fortress stages are brand new.

>clunky
It actually controls amazingly nice for a gameboy title. They even give you an auto charge and rapid fire to make up for the double-tap dash, and if you're emulating you can remap a third button in place of Start so you can play with a designated dashing button just like the SNES titles
Only the person that acquires the upgrade will get it. So yeah, you have to pick who you want to have it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Xtreme 1 is mostly a straight demake but Xtreme 2 got brand new levels. Maybe at that point they just said fuck it and started designing new stuff. It's definitely worth playing even if you've beaten the SNES games to death IMO.

X1 levels are remake, X2 and X3 are not.
I certainly don't remember these stages from X3

Even those are different, like this session with tidal water in volt catfish.

wire sponge is straight remake, you're correct
I hated how you had to fight 4 bosses and get a fake out ending, then another 4 bosses and another ending, then the 8 bosses AGAIN and finally the true last boss.

Yeah, this, especially since that means you had to refight pic related 3 times.
On all 3 playthrough's, I missed several of the purchasable items. How do you unlock them?
