Funny, I only ever saw that one (but more cropped) and the first one. I really like those euro PS2 ads that are weird and fleshy but I generally only post them incidentally since they're not retro.
I've since found that most retro game magazines worth a shit can be found as PDFs online but I scanned these Cave ads from my own magazine collection.
I threw away a huge amount of late 90s and very early 2000s Game Informers and other third rate, coverless magazines that had been "field destroyed" but I was happy to find I'd preserved my EGMs when I was setting up my library in the new house. I also have a bunch of 80s Compute! magazines I bought in a lot that I don't have magazine rack space for.
This mag changed my life. Got obsessed with getting a Playstation and getting Twisted Metal.
Terada's art for Nintendo Power is in a league of its own

i miss game players. They were the best game magazine. Loved the swimsuit issue.

Some game get a lot of hate, only because people suck at them
>>4176663
They put part of a woman's nipple in those magazines?
I remember the commercials for this one. THE FUTURE IS FORSAKEN. THE FUTURE IS FORSAKEN. It was annoying.
The game kind of looks like Descent, right?
Was poor Engrish the gimmick back in the 90's?
>>4185682
Nahh, gaming wasn't popular enough for people to care about translation back then (ate 80's-early 90's).
Which led to some gems many of us still get a laugh out of to THIS day.
>conglaturation, you are win!

He still exists and has capacity to produce new humor. He seems to write occasionally for Cracked.
He has a kid now. Check his Twitter account for wacky photos.
Also he made some kind of funny educational phone game that is allegedly good in some fashion. It is called Calculords
>>4185654
Yeah it's like Descent but with some early-ish 3D graphics acceleration in its engine that seems to have motivated the designers to put in loads of colors and particles and things (by the standards of the time). I don't know much about the singleplayer mode but the deathmatch mode was awesome and I played it incessantly for several months I think. I would play it again now.
Yes, I have been considering a 3D0 and Jaguar lately ... and prepared to post on /vr/ 3 years from now
Favorite cover, because this gets on the nerves of a lot of posters on /vr/ because of the hate for the developer. It did convince me to get a few games form this issue alone.

It'd be sweet if he and Ziff Media (or whomever) would both sign off on a "Rest of the Crap" collection.
Between what I've been putting up, his website, 1up's archive (hopefully still there, haven't checked in awhile), there isn't much out there for the EGM stuff.
>That I've found, anyway. Short of ordering back issues, if it's possibleh.
>>4187965
fuck that looks so retarded
>>4177279
Also don't forget that if you cant find something on emuparadise the Internet Archive has loads of stuff (including things in foreign languages)
