What is the /vr/ recommended emulator for playstation?

Felt in the mood to play through Metal Gear and some horror games I missed out on when I was younger.

I don't get it, why would you ever choose a real Playstation over an emulator if the emulator comes with so many tools to adjust your gaming experience and has an overall better resolution + better graphics?

Problem with Mednafen is finding disc images that work with it. Mednafen seems to be very particular, and half of the .isos online dont work.
