Anybody ever finish this?
I'm pleasantly surprised how much I like this game already. Aside from the title character and the whole first town getting cucked at the very beginning of the game. I really like the prerendered backgrounds, the voices, and the combat. Does this game stay fun throughout? What did you think of it? I like how his wife looks and sounds like a literal pornstar.
Own it for DC but it really weirded me out back then by looking so much like a late 90s Square game but playing nothing like it. I've been told in other threads that it is pretty good although I guess the plot meanders a bit much?

Started the GOG version last year or so, but got distracted as I bought more and more /vr/ from the slavs... It was pretty fun. But I've only played it up till the castle and library part.I heard the latter parts of the game have really annoying puzzles.

My DC disk stops loading the game after a specific point, so I never finished it. Maybe I'll burn a copy or play the PC version. I remember it being a lot of fun.

I found it starts getting a little too easy around the middle when you have access to more spells, special abilities and better allies but starts to get challenging again toward the last few orbs and end game.

I would say the plot is rather linear and relatively bare bones, there is little meandering to do and only one real time when you can be confused where to go.
As a side note I found the voice acting itself is shocking good and each character delivers their lines well, it's just that the dialogue itself is painfully generic and plays out your standard fantasy tropes completely straight (David being the standard selfless moralfag, Archer chick is female badass type:sarcastic, Vivenne is female badass type:just liek a man except hot n stuff Jug is big man who hits things etc) but despite that I really liked whenever Silver got to say anything.

I tried playing it, but the game crashed in the early part of the game (not even two hours in, I think). Not to mention I hate how you can't turn on subtitles for the NPCs who speak in-game.

I remember my 9 year old self enjoying it quite a lot.
Got it for free in one of those game magazines, iirc, along with Septerra Core. Only finished Silver, though.
