My favorite is MKII, but plenty of people hate it. They would probably say the best is Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but I think tons of extra characters and stupid gimmicks are unnecessary distractions from what is actually fun about Mortal Kombat: cornering your friends and brutalizing their characters while they complain that it's an unbalanced, broken game.
