can anyone recommend a specific brand for controller extenders for the n64?

I see generally positive reviews on amazon but there are reports of them being loose as well.

Surely theres a guide on snipping the cable frankenstiening it to a usb and with a few hundred billion neckbeards sitting around you would thought at least 1 would have made a driver for this method

They work fine. Gamecube extensions, on the other hand, are mostly trash... be careful about those.
