Can a dreamcast play lucky and wild in any way or form? I have a wheel and two light guns, and I know mame exists on dreamcast. There are a lot of different mame ports though, and I don't know if any would support peripherals, or if they would run the game well.

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm in this thread for science. Getting unique arcade games to run on other hardware is my fetish.

I'm investigating and will update this thread if I find anything.
At worst you can probably play it on a Wii, but I'd prefer having 'proper' light guns as opposed to the cursor stuff that you get with Wii gun games.
Lucky & Wild uses positional guns that are more like pointing devices anyway. Back in the day it wouldn't run on MAME period so I'm confident it plain won't run on DC or Wii builds even if you got the pointing devices set up right. I suggest playing on your PC using a steering wheel controller and a large dual analog stick like the original PS1 dual analog controller or a Virtual On controller.

Just go to the Galloping ghost arcade. They have a Lucky & Wild machine. Biggest arcade in the U.S.

Why a PS1 controller over two flight sticks?

For anyone in North Texas, Free Play Arcade in Richardson had one the time I went there.

Because you only have to worry about 2 devices vs 3 but you can probably make 2 flight sticks work too.

Nah, hardware's not powerful enough. L&W is a beast when it comes to system requirements. My previous CPU could handily emulate a dreamcast
but could barely make L&W playable in Mame.

Really? My memory must be bad, I was sure it used actual light guns as opposed to that kind of 'gun' that was really a joystick (ie. Terminator 2).
Well fortunately I already have a driving wheel and one flight stick for PC, so one more trip to a thrift store should work it out.
