What are some good adventure games? English (official or fan translation), graphical, and console only.
I'm playing through The Silver Case remaster right now, and finding it pretty enjoyable so far. The assets are in a higher resolution, and the music got remixed, but as far as I can tell it's more or less the same experience as the PSX original.

Nigger do you have any idea just how hard you are shooting yourself in the foot by that?

This. The Japanese-only requirement to filter out pixel hunting dad jokes trash would be enough.
Radical Dreamers on the SNES is good if you want a short adventure and would appreciate some Chrono Trigger influence
Hotel Dusk and Last Window
Jake Hunter

Psy-O-Blade was pretty neat, i'd just prefer it if someone spritehacked the 3 practically identical black dudes to look somewhat different, or at least to not look like California Raisins. The Genesis can output grey or brown just fine, so why they went with red I have no clue.
Interesting story with plenty of twists anyway. I'd recommend JESUS on the NES too for similar space murder antics. The translation for that tends to make it unbeatable and glitch parts out for me though. Though it's mainly a 3d shooter, I'd recommend Star Cruiser on the Genesis as it's just as adventurey as it is shooty.
Would like to play the Bubblegum Crisis PC Engine game sometime as it's another of these that's really well done as far as I played in it. Translated too.

Snatcher & Policenauts are both worth your time and both on consoles. Played them right before I played Famicom Detective Club
