Browsing TIZ today and I realized someone uploaded the Rayman prototype for SNES. Have you already tried, /vr/?
I am still more impressed by Quik.

It's nice to see the old Rayman sprite in motion but there's absolutely NOTHING there that's even remotely of interest.
Hell, due to the lack of nearly everything it's barely even a prototype and more like a playable concept sketch that'd take like half a day to create.
If this was the version that's on the preview screenshots which featured the evil Electoons and Mr. Skorps then the discovery would've been A LOT more significant.

How would this be better than the current PS1 or GBA version?

Apparently there were later versions, they just haven't been tracked down or otherwise dumped yet. While I certainly love seeing early prototypes of released games, it is true that with unreleased games you probably want as close to a final prototype as possible.

Oh, that prototype. In that case, it's cool but it wasn't even close to being finished. It'd be better if someone remade it from scratch.

Neat, I will check it out.
I wonder if it is easy to hack. It might make a nice base game, but people will have to look under the hood first.
I fucked around with it for a little while, and tried throwing some Game Genie codes at it, but nothing happened before I lost interest.
This one needs to be dumped too.

I don't hang out on shitty emulator forums anymore because the people there are stupid
that's the reality of all beta roms, they are all underwhelming once you get your hands on them

Banjo's beta build would be really interesting to have too. Especially ones containing the Giant's Lair, should they exist.

What we really need is Vertexer.
