The s video port on my trinitron is not working. If i press the cable into the port very hard then i get a clear picture but it does not stay. Is there anyway to repair this or is the tv screwed.

The obvious awnser would be have you tried it on another TV or with another cable?
I love how it looks like a dismayed 4-eyed alien.

I tried different cables and consoles so it must be the input port

Have you tried a different cable?
It entirely depends on if the port is molded plastic and a part of the shell, or if the port is a separate component. If it's a part of the shell, you might be able to fix it with a dremel and some modifications. If it's separate, just pull the bad one off and solder on a new one.
If you don't understand soldering or how to work on the insides of a TV, then just neck yourself instead for asking about something you couldn't do anyways.

Replace the S-Video port on the TV.

when you put the cable in you gotta put something under it to push it up that way when you let go the clear picture will stay
jack probably needs re-soldered
