Let's talk about Neopets. By the rules of this board, it's retro (officially launched in 1999).

I suspect OP is just trying to push the limits of /vr/ rules. But it does in fact fall within the realm of /vr/, so if you actually played a crappy 90s browser game and want to talk about it, then go nuts I guess.

I remember I had one of those alien ones you get from the spaceship and I must have tried like 20 names and all were taken so I got pissed off and mashed keys on my keyboard and made his name just a random string of letters and numbers. My favorite games were the medieval strategy one and the one where you shot the clowns at the carnival
why did they ruin jub jub :(

Neopets was a mistake
I know next to nothing about Neopets, but this cancelled Playstation game looked really cute,
Vertex colored to the extreme. FUCK TEXTURES!

It was released as furry crap on PS2.

Neopets was always about furry animals. Don't act like the PS1 game wouldn't have been the exact same thing.

I had this on a demo disk, never got to play the actual game.

Lupes are my favorite. I know I'm a basic bitch.
Fun fact: when McDonalds had a Neopets promotion in summer of '04 I got a green Lupe as a toy and that was my favorite stuffed animal as a kid. One time I lost it on a vacation and I was devastated (I was 8). That Christmas my parents bought all 4 colors (green, red, blue, and yellow) for me as a gift from "Santa", which staved off my disbelief another few years because I didn't know about eBay. I'm sure they though it was dumb, but to this day I appreciate what they did for me.
Feel free to mock me for my autism.
