Master System thread. What are the best games for this console

Sonic is overrated. I'd rather play Alex the Kidd in Shinobi/Miracle World.

What do you mean? You didn't know the first two Streets of Rage games were ported to Master System?

I tried Master of Darkness. Felt like I should just be playing Castlevania though. Everything about it felt cheap and wonky.

SMS Ninja Gaiden is still my favorite Ninja Gaiden game. The music is good

This. I know people recommend it alot, but it really felt like a cheap copy of Castlevania, and the janky weapon system didn't do it any favors. You almost instinctively avoided powerups until you could confirm you weren't going to get the fucking knife again.

Nifty, pretty nice graphics for the system, but cheap and almost half-assed feeling levels and level design with uneven difficulty. The Wonderboy and Alex Kidd games are far better.
