I was playing Snes this afternoon and my Trinitron started doing weird shit... is it dying?
Any idea on what could be causing this? cheap fix or not worth it?

That Favela background. That dirty ass tv. Holyshit we need the wall.

Seems like electrical distortion from the wind tunnel you're running

What I don't get is, why did you film it in a garbage dump?
Unrelated hardware question
Got a model 2 sega CD, it will save data on the internal memory and it will still be there if I power off the system or pull it from wall power but if I come back to it the next day being plugged in all the time the data is unreadable.
Just a battery problem or might something be more fucked? Any recommendations of a replacement battery holder as I see the fucker is soldered to the board?

The battery has probably just reached a point where it isn't able to supply a constant voltage anymore so over longer periods of time the sram will be wiped.
I wouldn't worry if I was you.
I don't get why people always need a fucking battery holder though. It's not like you'll have to change these buggers every few weeks or so. They'll literally be ok for ~10 years if not more once you put em in so stop being a bitch and just get a tabbed one.

Vertical collapse impending.

Install a supercapacitor. They charge up while you play, and can retain a charge for months after that. They also won't corrode like batteries.
